Description:
The first floor walls were angled to open up the building face to pedestrian access and shade the east facing storefronts. This feature provides a welcoming transition from the parking lot to the building.

The aluminum stair wrap cradles the stair and stone clad elevator core creating a sense of security, warmth and a play of light. The exterior stone circulation element represents the central co re surrounded by two complimentary materials, one translucent and one solid metal. These different materials and forms were used to symbolize the connection between mother, father and child.
